Jordan Parker - Facilities Director

Naomi Parker - Social Media

Jordan has been working at River's Edge since June 2009. Jordan initially worked in the kitchen, but in 2012 he took off the apron and picked up a shovel! At about the same time he started dating Naomi (was Kirbyson), who had been volunteering at Rivers Edge for several years and was his long-time friend. In 2013, they were married and the two of them have been living and serving on-site since. Jordan now finds himself primarily in the site ministry at Rivers Edge, but every now and then he gets a chance to have some fun facilitating wall climbing and high ropes. Naomi looks after our social media platforms and helps out in the cafe from time-to-time.
When he's not hard at work around the camp, Jordan is an avid hunter, trapper and all-around outdoorsman. Naomi's hobbies including photography, styling hair and thrift-store shopping.
Kelly Luyendyk – Maintenance & Grounds Staff

Kelly’s job is to assist Jordan with the site management and maintenance.  Although Kelly has been employed by Rivers Edge since mid-January 2018, his connection with the camp ’s history started long before this date.  In fact, Kelly first met his Dutch sweetheart, Sien, at the property in 1980 when Sien interrupted her world travel plans to volunteer her time helping pour the foundation of what is now the Activity Centre at Rivers Edge. Short-term volunteering eventually became a fulltime ministry for both Kelly and Sien.  Married in 1983, Kelly and Sien continued for a number of years to assist and then lead in a ministry to troubled youth.  In 1997, Kelly and Sien joined with ETHNOS Canada (formerly New Tribes Mission).  After a few years of specialized training, the Luyendyks and their children eventually moved overseas and became involved in church planting and Scripture translation in the jungles of Papua New Guinea. Following twenty years with New Tribes Mission, Kelly and Sien returned to their old stomping grounds here in Alberta.  They are excited about being a part of the ministry of Rivers Edge and look forward to creating many more memories at this place.

Kelly and Sien are proud grandparents of ten and grateful parents of four.

Hannah Stolle - Senior Housekeeper

Rivers Edge Camp has been a part of my life since I was a child.   I began by attending school here, then youth group, followed by Camp and finally being apart of the ministry here in a working capacity.

I have had the honour of working in the dish pit and kitchen, in programming, hosting and in housekeeping.  God has used these opportunities to grow me into the woman I am today!   I believe that no matter what capacity you serve in, Jesus can use it all, for it’s really all about Him.

In my spare time, I like to go for runs, hang out with friends and watch my favourite television shows.
